How TikTok sponsorship pricing works
TikTok breaks the assumption that a bigger following means a bigger rate. Its For You feed distributes content algorithmically, so a smaller account with strong view-through can out-earn a larger account that has stopped getting real reach. SponsorCraft's five-step formula leads with that reality instead of treating TikTok like a smaller version of YouTube.
View rate, average views divided by followers, is the single most important number on this page. A 480,000-follower account with a 31 percent view rate is reaching roughly a third of its following on a typical post, a strong signal the algorithm still favors the account. A similarly sized account with a 5 percent view rate is a different pricing conversation entirely, regardless of the follower count both accounts share.
Engagement rate is checked against TikTok's own platform average, which sits meaningfully higher than YouTube's or Instagram's, so a rate that would look strong on another platform can be exactly average here. Account tier and audience geography move the number from there, the same way they do everywhere else SponsorCraft prices.
A worked example
Here is what the formula produces against a real account profile.
SponsorCraft's TikTok calculator pricing a 480,000-follower fashion account, dedicated TikTok selected as the deal format.
The Creator Marketplace estimate sits noticeably below the dedicated direct rate here, and that gap is consistent, not a one-off. It is the reason the next section exists.
Dedicated video, integration, or Creator Marketplace
Where the deal comes from changes the number as much as the content itself does.
- Dedicated TikTok. An entire video built around the sponsor. The highest-paying format, and the one to lead with when a brand reaches out to you directly.
- Integration, 15 to 30 seconds. A shorter segment inside a video you were already planning to make. Lower rate than a dedicated post, but faster to produce and easier for a brand to approve.
- Creator Marketplace. TikTok's own brand-matching platform. Convenient for discovery, but rates typically run 30 to 40 percent below what the same creator can negotiate directly, since the platform takes a cut and standardises pricing across a large creator pool.
Always negotiate directly with a brand when you have the option. Treat the Creator Marketplace as a discovery channel for finding new brand relationships, not the rate you settle for once that relationship exists.
What's included in the full app
This calculator is part of SponsorCraft's $49 one-time Creator License, which also includes YouTube, Instagram, and Shorts calculators, the multi-platform bundle calculator for creators pricing more than one channel in the same deal, PDF rate card export, deal add-ons, and a document bundle with a contract, media kit, and outreach email templates. No subscription on either license tier, and the app runs fully offline with no login required.
